Volunteer Opportunities

We're looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and talented volunteers who want to help Global Response improve its visability. Volunteer positions are a key componenet to the mission of Global Response and self sufficency, organization, communication, and timeliness are essential qualities. If you're looking for fun and rewarding work in a supportive atmosphere, then consider volunteering for one of our projects.

Outreach & PR (Local, International and Youth) - Opportunities Currently Available!
Youth Outreach - Volunteers are needed to assist with coordinating youth outreach activities in area schools, including scheduling and giving classroom presentations on Global Response campaigns, preparing materials for presentations including display boards, overheads and worksheets. Develop and promote Eco-Clubs.
International Outreach & PR - Volunteers are also needed to assist with planning and implementing a strategy for national and international publicity and marketing campaigns.

Special Events Committee - NEW!
Volunteers are now being recruited to assist with the planning of several upcoming fundraising events. Individuals with any interest or experience in planning events are welcomed to join us! A variety of tasks will be available, time commitments and assignments will be varied and can be modified according to each individual volunteer’s availability and interests. Event volunteers will assist with creating and updating a calendar of local and national outreach events, hosting a Global Response information booth/table at various events, and developing strategies for area outreach. This is a very fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity!

Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is seeking new members. Specific volunteer opportunities in fundraising include: developing and updating our foundation database, researching and writing grant proposals, event planning, organizing and/or hosting house parties, developing partnerships with businesses, one-on-one conversation about our mission (by phone or face to face) with potential donors, product placement, developing partnerships with fair trade stores, etc.

State/Regional Representatives
Represent Global Response in your community! State and Regional Representatives are needed to coordinate local fundraising events, host information booths at community events, distribute PR materials to local media outlets, etc. If you are passionate about environmental education and action help us to grow our network of support by bringing Global Response to your community.

Administrative
Administrative volunteers are being recruited for two to four hour shifts, Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Duties may include answering phones, data entry, filing, assisting with mailings, or various other general office and/or administrative tasks.

Special Projects - Counter Display Placement
Global Response is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with developing and implementing our counter display fundraising project. Volunteers are needed to identify businesses and organization that GR representatives can approach about placing a counter display in their place of business. Counter displays contain bar coded tickets that customers can use to make a contribution to GR, the customer can choose from a $1, $3, or $5 contribution, which will be added to their bill.

Board of Directors
The all-volunteer Board of Directors meets quarterly in Boulder, Colorado.
